Reflecting on 2024: Our Growth as a Team, and the Path Ahead in 2025

As we approach the end of the year, we’re looking back at all we’ve accomplished throughout 2024.

At SFATC, our mission has always been clear: to empower individuals and communities with life-saving tools needed to respond confidently to emergencies.

This year, we’ve made incredible strides in fulfilling that mission, thanks to our dedicated team and growing community of first aid advocates.

In A Nutshell: 2024

In 2024, we successfully reached thousands of people, raising awareness and educating the public about the importance of first aid in everyday life. None of that would have been possible without the support of our loyal clients and participants.

Community Outreach

Working with the community is a privilege we are grateful to have.

On March 30th, our team of volunteers assisted at an event held at Masjid Yusof Ishak, where we contributed to an Iftar session and distributed groceries to 130 families. It was a deeply fulfilling experience, particularly during the month of Ramadan, and we are thankful for the opportunity to participate.

We were also invited to speak at the Pregnancy to Parenthood seminar at Mummy's Market in July. We demonstrated how to assist a choking infant and highlighted situations where first aid is essential. It was a successful talk, in which we hoped to have encouraged soon-to-be parents to take the initiative to learn these vital skills and prepare for life-changing scenarios.

We partnered with People's Association to bring CPR and AED Certification Courses to local Community Centres. Over the span of September and October, we taught practical life skills at three different centres, mainly Leng Kee CC, West Coast CC and Kampung Ubi CC.

Notable Partners

This year, we had the opportunity to conduct first aid courses for OCBC Bank and UOB Bank respectively.

In August, we held a CERT First Aider course for UOB employees. During the one-day course, participants learned how to administer CPR, use an A.E.D, and wound care.

In November, we conducted an Occupational First Aid Course for OCBC Bank employees. Throughout the three-day course, participants mastered essential skills like CPR, AED use, and bandaging, while also learning where AEDs are located in their office—crucial for workplace emergencies.

What’s To Come: 2025

We wrapped up 2024 with a new partnership: SFATC is collaborating with Eduquest to offer a comprehensive range of courses in 2025! This bundle includes First Aid courses from SFATC and workplace essentials like the Food Safety course, creating a curated Workplace Essentials Course for the public.

Looking ahead, 2025 is set to be a fantastic year. We have a few collaborations (more details to come!) we're looking forward to, as well as working with our current partners to continue providing the quality first aid courses we're known for.

Overall, 2024 was a year of momentum, and as we head into 2025, the future looks bright with new opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and progress.
