Course Objectives
By the end of this cert first aider course, participants will:
✓ Perform CPR and use an AED with confidence
✓ Render first aid in bleeding, fractures, burns, and shock
✓ Respond calmly and systematically during emergencies
✓ Understand the role of CERT in early-phase incident control
Course Outline
Developed by past SCDF personnel, you’ll have ease of mind knowing that the course has been designed to meet the desired outcomes. The CERT First Aider Course is also available in blended format to help achieve the best results in the shortest time possible.
Classroom format – 1 day
Blended Format – 4 hours/ 5 hours in class
Certification and Accreditation
On completion of the cert first aider course, you will:
- Receive SCDF-recognized certificate valid for 2 years
- Meet SRFAC requirements for CERT First Aiders
- Be eligible for CPR and AED responder roles
