    A group of us from Chiltern House went through 3 Saturdays (26 Feb – 12 March) of first aid training conducted by your training centre. We were all dreading the thought of spending 3 full Saturdays on First Aid Training as we had previous experiences with First Aid training. These past trainings were all rigid and the instructors were mean. They made us hate First Aid training. I had few recollections of having enjoyable and practical first aid trainings.

However, we were all pleasantly surprised to find the first aid training from your training centre enjoyable and practical. The training was conducted at the right pace with lots of lively discussions and hands on activities. The most important part of the training was we were taught to apply the concepts we learn (E.g. life over limb, immobilize and stabilize). What was important was to save the life of the injured and not to be bothered by minute details. We also appreciate that the training programme planned by your training centre focuses on reducing the steps to for all untrained first aiders like us to feel more equipped and confident to help others in cases of emergency.

As an educator, I know that the success of educating the students is contributed by one important factor. It is the educator/trainer who makes the difference. Therefore, we are all grateful to have our trainer for these past 3 Saturdays. He made the training lively, fun, informative and most importantly practical. He is an effective communicator who manages to engage us in discussions. He is also able to relate to everyone in class. We can see he is equipped with vast experiences and knowledge in first aid that he was able to share with us during the training sessions. He is always encouraging and respectful towards us. It is commendable to see him being so passionate in what he does and wanting to help us become confident first aiders through his training so we can save lives. Without this passion and commitment to doing his training well, we would have 3 dreadful Saturdays of first aid training.

So bravo and kudos to the trainer and your training centre for your passion and commitment to helping others save lives. We really appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you.

    This note is just to thank you and your team for having to agree to the conduct of the Standard First Aid course at Xingnan Primary School on 6 Sept and 7 Sept 2011.
 
I must say that the assigned instructor has done a great job on this assignment. His clear directions and excellent techniques in delivering the lessons has made the course much easy to understand and follow, and more importantly, less threatening.
 
The course has indeed help me to build my confidence and sense of awareness being a First Aider. I am much confident to contribute and will serve the school well in ensuring the safety of pupils and staff.
 
My staff, too agree that the trainer has good sense of humour and his good delivery skills has made the lesson more interesting and less threatening despite being under pressure in taking the practical and theory test.
 
On behalf of all the participants, Kudos to SFATC for having such wonderful and knowledgeable instructors.

    I just happily completed my First Aid Training which I enjoyed immensely, because of the learning, the excellent trainers and the jolly bunch of my class.

This is not the first time, for me, in such a course, but this is certainly the most outstanding one in terms of the confidence of the trainers blended with their knowledge.

The very way they delivered the learning, with clarity, peppered with humour and their friendly encouraging style.

I must remark on the excellent power point slides which enhance the learning only because its followed by explanation of the trainers ,not puppet reading from the slides but their strength and grasp of the subject. In my previous courses the power points were so dull and textually boring ,i.e. now its clear to me the difference between a sprain and strain once and for all (and many other learning points) which were memorize rather than learned. The practical situational exposure for us is the real learning and understanding and that I found it very helpful and remarkable.

This course is to me a very vitally important one, and I'm happy to say that I left the the course with the learning and much more confidence in the subject,especially to face the situations
which I will always and inevitably encounter.

I'm especially grateful to the trainers, their patience and engagement, surviving our endless questions, and bearing and indulging with us.

    I refer to your staff above that, in their course of work, assisted me in the scheduling of Occupational and Standard First Aid training for staff from the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay.

At all times, I have found them to be helpful and prompt in rendering assistance to me.     SFATC has met our expectations educating officers through various courses like First Aid Refresher Course and Automated External Defibrillator Course.

    On behalf of Aardwolf Pestkare I would like to thank Singapore First Aid Training Centre for the effort you put into our Weekend Camp at Pulai Springs in Johore Bahru. The Basic First aid Training you provided to our 63 staff was really enjoyable and drew much laughter. Your creative approach made what is normally a serious and possibly dull subject matter, into an interesting session. You gave our staff the confidence to carry out Basic First Aid by making the concept of "improvise" very real.
