SDF FAQ
Do I need to pay for the application of an SDF EasyNet account?
No. However, you will need to check with SDF if you need to make Skill Development Levy contributions. You will also need to create an account at www.skillsconnect.gov.sg
How will the payment be made to you?
Before the course commences, you will need to make full payment to us first. Upon course completion, WDA will reimburse the funded amount to you directly. You will need to give evidence of payment to us before you can make a claim i.e. cheque number, giro transfer number etc.
When must I apply for funding?
At least 1 day before the commencement of the course.
Do I apply for SDF and Absentee Payroll separately or together?
Upon submission of claim, you will be asked whether you are claiming for Absentee Payroll. Simply indicate accordingly.
Will I be guaranteed of the funding?
Unfortunately, since the funding mechanism is given by WDA, we cannot guarantee whether or not you will be granted the funding. On most occasions, if you fulfil the eligibility criteria, you will receive funding support from WDA.
How many times can I apply for SDF subsidy?
Funding is only given once per course per employee i.e. you can only apply SDF funding for Course A once for Employee X. Employee X will not be granted subsidy again if he wants to take up Course A again in the future. However, he can apply for funding for the other courses that we have.
I don't have internet access. Can I still apply for funding?
We can assist you with your application, but you must first have an account with Skills Connect. If you don't have an account with them, log on to www.skillsconnect.gov.sg to apply first.
What happens if my subsidy is rejected?
If you do not meet the WDA criteria, your subsidy may be rejected. In this case, you can make an appeal to WDA directly.

SRP FAQ
What is Absentee Payroll funding?
SRP funding is reimbursement for absentee payroll when you send your staff for courses.
I heard that I can apply for both SDF and Absentee Payroll subsidies for an employee for the same course. Is this true?
Yes. SDF subsidy subsidises the course fees, while the later covers absentee payroll. These are 2 separate subsidy benefit schemes that reimburse you while your staff attends training.
When must I apply for Absentee Payroll funding?
Before the commencement of the course.
How will the payment be made?
WDA will make payment to you directly to your company bank account.

Unfortunately, since the funding mechanism is given by WDA, we cannot guarantee whether or not you will be granted the funding. On most occasions, if you fulfil the eligibility criteria, you will receive funding support from WDA.
I don't have internet access. Can I still apply for funding?
WDA only accepts online application. For this, you will need to check with WDA directly. You can call their hotline at 68835885.
What happens if my subsidy is rejected?
You can make an appeal to WDA directly. They will review on a case to case basis.
Can I apply for Absentee Payroll if my staff is taking the course after office hours?
Yes. However, you will need to make the mandatory absentee payroll top up for outside office hour training at the employee's hourly rate.
Can I NOT apply for Absentee Payroll?
Yes. It is not compulsory to apply for this funding.
