This is a funny spoof video which shows how the AED or Automated External Defibrillator is used along with CPR. Before you play, we must warn you of the unclear sound quality…. and the hilarious acting!

This is not an instructional video, but its intention is to educate and provide you with a simple understanding of how the AED is being used. And if you see from the video, AEDs are not hard to use at all! In fact, they are so easy to use, its ridiculous! AEDs come with voice prompts and visual prompts, guiding the rescuer every inch of what they require to do, all the way to the point where the shock is delivered.

Another highlight is that this shows the old method of CPR, where a pulse check is needed. As confirmed by the National Resuscitation Council, the pulse check is no longer necessary to determine if CPR or AED needs to be initiated. In fact, the good old “Look, Listen, Feel” to check for breathing is sufficient.

If all of these confuse you, then you need to be resuscitated in one of classes. Call us to check when is the next available class for CPR. Nothing beats good ol fashion CPR and AED practical on a dummy. Anyway, here is the video. Enjoy!
