What is the difference between an ambulance standby and your emergency
standby team?
An
ambulance standby provides you with a first aid trained medic and
driver and can convey casualties to the hospital. Most private
ambulance services are catered to handle non-emergency cases and is a
good option, but on certain occasions, you may encounter a dire
situation like a cardiac arrest, or a similar level of emergency which
some private ambulance services may not be equipped to handle. Also,
you may encounter periods whereby the standby ambulance is away during
the conveying of the casualty, leaving you no other trained person left
behind to respond if another situation arises.
The emergency standby team provided by SingAsia Medical on the other hand are fully equipped with the
knowledge, experience and equipment to stabilise the casualty while
arranging for prompt transport to hospital via emergency 995 ambulance
service. This helps you save on the cost of having an ambulance physically there for the whole day.
We find that this may work better on most occasions because the casualty actually
benefits from the immediate expertise and care of the emergency standby team
and can be rushed to hospital by the 995 ambulance which is better equipped
to handle and transport emergency cases. Plus, since they don't follow
the casualty to the hospital, you can always count on them to be there for
every emergency that happens. For more details on this service, click here.
